Environmental Policies
Sustainable Practices: Yellow Gorse is dedicated to minimizing environmental impact through sustainable practices. Our products are made only with natural, synthetic-free ingredients. We also prioritize organic and local sourcing to reduce carbon footprint as much as we possibly can.
Packaging: We use eco-friendly packaging materials and are committed to reducing plastic use. Our packaging is designed to be recyclable or biodegradable using mostly glass bottles and jars, aluminium tins and sustainable paper based packaging.
Energy Use: We strive to reduce energy consumption in our production processes, including utilising renewable energy providers in both our shops.
Waste Management: We implement waste reduction strategies, including recycling and composting programs, to minimize landfill contributions. We have also implemented a "return your bottles & tins" discount program where customers can bring back their empties in exchange for a discount. We then thoroughly clean and reuse the returned bottles, jars and tins. We are also looking to continue expanding our refillable options in the near future.
Community Engagement: Yellow Gorse actively participates in environmental conservation efforts and educates customers about sustainable living practices. We do our best to support local environmental initiatives and collaborate with organizations dedicated to protecting our planet.
